Ranu Maria Mondal who shot to fame singing Lata Mangeshkar’s evergreen and melodious track, Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai, at a railway platform in Kolkata, has a rags to riches story. The internet sensation, known fondly as Kolkata’s Lata Mangeshkar, has recorded two songs with Himesh Reshammiya for his upcoming film, Happy, Hardy and Heer. However, social media is kicked about her brand new gig. If a picture floating around on the internet and on WhatsApp groups is to be believed then, Ranu has added an illustrious feather to her hat.

The picture in question sees Ranu in a recording studio with none other than, Lata Mangeshkar. It is being said that after noticing Ranu’s spectacular talent, India’s nightingale invited the overnight sensation to record a duet with her. But did she? Well, not yet. This might be a dream come true for Ranu in the future but there’s absolutely no truth to the news. The picture is a clever photoshop job, and that’s all it is. Check it out below:

Ranu who has also been signed by superstar Salman Khan recently revealed to IANS that Ranu while talking to IANS, that she was born with the proverbial silver spoon in her mouth, in a well to do family, but fate separated her from her parents when she was all of 6-months-old. She was brought up by her grandmother and post marriage, she moved to Mumbai, where she and her husband worked as domestic helps for the late actor, Feroz Khan.
