Ranveer Singh And Alia Bhatt's Gully Boy Official Entry For Oscars 2020: Netizens Pour in Congratulatory Messages For The Team
Just a short while back, Farhan Akhtar took everyone by surprise by announcing that Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy has become India’s official entry to Oscars 2020. While the makers are completely overwhelmed with this news, Twitterati cannot contain their happiness and have started pouring in congratulations on social media with a hope to see Gully Boy bringing the prestigious award home.  Seems like 'Apna Time Aa Gaya Hai' for Gully Boy. On the other side, some are sad to not see Ayushmann Khurrana's Andhadun making to the end.

Some wished to see Andhadun in the list while some are overjoyed to hear the 'best news ever.' A user wrote, "Gully Boy deserves it. wish there could've been two entries. Gully Boy and AndhaDhun." One wrote, "Best news to hear. And the 'Apna Time Aayega' is very much on. Kudos to entire team for making #GullyBoy special. All the best for #Oscars2020." Some Ayushmann Khurrana fans said, "And I thought 'Andhadhun' will be selected as India's entry to Oscar's." On the other hand, one called it well-deserving. "Congrats! So well deserved! By far the best film of the year!" Read all the comments below:

As per reports, Gully Boy was among the 26 entries from India made to the Oscars. Other films in the running were Raazi, Padmaavat, Hichki, October, Love Sonia, Mahanati, Pihu, Kadvi Hawa, Bioscopewala, Manto, 102 Not out, Padman, Bhayanakam, Ajji, Nude, Gali Guliiyan among others. So far only three films including Aamir Khan's Lagaan, Mother India and Mira Nair's Salaam Bombay have made it to the last round of Oscars.

We do hope to see Gully Boy bringing the prestigious award home *fingers crossed*. Kudos to the team.
