Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy, inspired by the lives of rappers Naezy and Divine, not only received great reviews from critics, but it was also a big hit at the box office. The film, that also featured Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Vijay Raaz in supporting roles was selected as the Indian entry at the 92nd Academy Awards for the Best International Feature Film. Now, Gully Boy has won the best film from India award in the regional finals of the Asian Academy Creative Awards. Farhan Akhtar took to Twitter to share the news and congratulate the entire team.

The film is directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar. Apart from Gully Boy, Netflix’s Delhi Crime also won several awards in various categories like Best Direction (Fiction), Best Drama Series, Best Editing and others. Shefali Shah won Best Actress in a Leading Role for Delhi Crime and shared the great news on Twitter. "So so proud of #DelhiCrime," she tweeted. She also shared the full list of regional winners for India.
