Deepika Padukone is currently making heads turn with her impeccable sense of style at the ongoing Cannes film festival. The leggy-lass is attending Cannes 2022 as a jury member, adding another feather in her glowing hat. Last week, Deepika was joined by her actor husband Ranveer Singh at the festival where they both stole the limelight with their cute PDA and sizzling chemistry. A new video of the couple going goofy at the Cannes has gone viral on social media and it is breaking the internet for all the right reasons.
In the viral clip, the Simmba actor is seen sitting on Deepika’s lap. She calls him her ‘trophy’ and Ranveer replies, “Today, I’m her present.” Both the actors look happy and madly in love in this video. The actor is seen at his casual best in a blue t-shirt teamed with matching shorts. Well, Deepika seems to be sitting in her dressing room just when Ranveer comes and sits on her lap. Soon after the video surfaced online, fans and netizens could not help but gush over the couple, calling them ‘cuties’. The Piku actress also posted a video of her team gifting her a noise-making bird toy. Later, when her team pampered her with a bar of giant chocolate, Ranveer cheered for his ladylove in the video. In her reply, Deepika said, “Not the best gift of today, week, or month. It is the best gift of the decade."
Meanwhile, in an interview with Variety, the Gehraiyaan actress opened up about attending this year’s Cannes as a jury member and admitted she 'wasn’t ‘entirely familiar’ with others at the festival and that she had to educate herself about their work.
Deepika also revealed that being invited as a jury member at Cannes came as a surprise to her. She was quoted saying, “They [the festival management] seem so convinced about why they made that decision. And it makes me sit back and think sometimes maybe I’ve not given myself enough credit. And that’s okay too, because, I don’t want to be feeling like, like this huge achievement or whatever. If I’ve landed here today, without even realising it, I must be doing something right.”
