Kabir Khan’s upcoming venture ’83 based on the victorious win of India during 1983 World Cup Tournament, is touted to be the biggest release of 2020. Makers have time and again as well as the actors roped in to play the iconic cricketer have given a glimpse of the film’s progress. Right from Kapil Dev to many more eminent players, cricketers have provided their inputs for the film to be as authentic as possible. Just recently, all-rounder-veteran player Sunil Gavaskar was seen with the cast in London recently.

The director posted a picture of Sunil Gavaskar on his Instagram account. He wrote, “The little master came to see us play cricket in England 🏏 😊@ranveersingh @tahirrajbhasin @minimathur @83thefilm #Thisis83 #behindthescenes” The picture has lead Ranveer Singh, Kabir’s wife Mini Mathur, Kabir Khan himself and actor Tahir Bhasin pleasantly smiling for the picture. Tahir plays the reel-life Sunil Gavaskar in the film. Check out the picture below. In fact, this is not the first time Gavaskar has spent some time with them, his previous encounter, especially with Ranveer, was quite entertaining.

Ranveer and Gavaskar were at their entertaining best at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester, England. The duo danced on the famous Mohammed Rafi song Badan Pe Sitare Lapete Hue number in the commentary box during a cricket match between India-Pakistan in the recent past.

Producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala who has come on board to produce ’83 with Anil Dhirubhai Ambani’s Reliance Entertainment and Madhu Mantena said, “All four scripts (Baaghi, Judwaa, Housefull and 83) are excellent. As a producer, one has to commit to the content more than anything else. Coming on board for ’83 is a feeling of personal joy, as I saw that glorious moment on live television. There are certain projects that develop an aura around them and ’83 is one of them.”

This is Ranveer’s first flick to release in three languages- Hindi, Tamil and Telugu; releasing on April 10, 2020.
