It's raining debuts in Bollywood! Every day, we come across the news of either a star kid or an outsider foraying into the world of showbiz with a bang. Well, there are tons of examples to prove our point, but let's talk about the most recent and, perhaps, the most anticipated one. It's none other than perfectionist Aamir Khan's son, Junaid Khan. Yes, you read that right! From a very long time, the gossip mills are buzzing with the rumours of Junaid's Bollywood debut. There, however, has been no confirmation on the same. But if a report in ETimes is anything to go by, the Khan lad is all set to be launched by one of the biggest production houses of Bollywood, that is, YRF.
Interestingly, the report further adds that in his debut film, Junaid will be seen romancing Shalini Pandey, who rose to fame with the Telugu blockbuster, Arjun Reddy. Shalini will also be making her Bollywood debut alongside Ranveer Singh in YRF's Jayeshbhai Jordar. Reportedly, she has signed a three-film-deal with the production house the film opposite Junaid is going to be one of it. Siddharth P Malhotra, who had helmed Rani Mukerji's Hichki, will be directing Junaid's debut film. The report adds that Junaid's untitled film will have two leading ladies and the other one would be Sharvari Wagh, who is a part of Bunty And Babli 2.
There, however, are a lot of speculations on as to what genre will Junaid's debut film be. We now wait for an official announcement of the same!
Meanwhile, Jayeshbhai Jordar is touted to be a comedy-drama, helmed by Divyang Thakkar. The film was scheduled to release in October this year but was pushed, owing to the pandemic.
