SpotboyE has it that he has been asked to reprise Sanjay Dutt's role (Ballu Balram) in the remake of 1993 superhit Khalnayak, whose rights have been bagged by SLB.
We had earlier told you about the director bagging the rights of the film from Subhash Ghai (It's Official! Bhansali To Remake Ghai's Khalnayak, Nov 17).

Ranveer's portrayal of the Maratha warrior has not only won him praises from the audience and critics, it has also left Bhansali superbly impressed. So much so, he has already talked to the actor about reprising the role made memorable by Dutt.

A source close to the filmmaker says, "Once the rights change hands officially, the modalities will be worked out with Ranveer. He has won Bhansali over with his performances in Ram Leela (2013) and Bajirao Mastani. The desire to work on another film together is mutual."
