Actress Rashmika Mandanna is currently busy making a name for herself as a credible actress in the entertainment industry with her powerful performances and down-to-earth personality. However, she recently became a victim of deepfake video technology, when video of her entering a life in skimpy clothes went viral on social media leaving everyone shocked. Not only did a journalist issue clarification on the matter, but even her Goodbye co-star Amitabh Bachchan raised concerns over it. 

It was on Sunday afternoon when a journalist, Abhishek Kumar took to X and shared not only the fake video but even the original video. He issued a clarification and explained how there needs to be new legal and regulatory measures that can combat the spread of fake content on the internet. For those who don’t know, the video features a British-Indian influencer Zara Patel. Someone morphed Rashmika’s face onto Zara’s face, which led to the video amassing over 2.4 million views on X, formerly known as Twitter, alone. Amitabh Bachchan took re-shared the tweets by the journalist, stating that, “yes this is a strong case for legal.” A part of Kumar’s tweet reads, “From a deepfake POV, the viral video is perfect enough for ordinary social media users to fall for it.
