Nilgai Buried Alive: Raveena Tandon, Onir Appalled And Horrified By The Video; Express Their Outrage Over Animal Cruelty
Since last week, a very disturbing video showing an injured animal being buried alive has been going viral on the Internet. The unsettling video, which has been doing the rounds of the Internet since August 30 shows a nilgai who had previously been shot, being pushed into a pit by an earth mover and being buried by puring heaps of mud over the alive animal. The video has left viewers shook by such display of inhumanity and many people came forward and raised their voices on the Internet demanding justice against the offenders. Among those are Bollywood celebrities Raveena Tandon and film director Onir.

Raveen a Tandon and Onir have raised their voices against the contents of this viral video showing animal cruelty and are absolutely horrified by it. Raveena Tandon took to Twitter to express her outrage and wrote,“Heartless inhumane b.......... whoever behind this decision. hope karma gets back doublefold.” She also shared the video on Twitter. Film director Onir, also shared Raveena Tandon’s post on Twitter and wrote, “how can this be real.... horrific. we encroach on their land and then kill them mercilessly when they run short of food. Nature wont forgive us. Again the state has turned blind and deaf to the destruction of #AarayForest that will make thousands of animals homeless #SaveAarey.” Take a look at their tweets:

The video is reportedly from Bihar’s Vaishali district where the locals had complained about nilgai destroying crops on farms. To deal with this, a nilgai was first shot. When the gunshot did not kill the poor injured animal, it was buried alive as part of a culling drive.

Meanwhile, in other news, Raveena Tandon is currently a judge on the dance reality show Nach Baliye 9.  Raveena Tandon will be a grandmother soon enough, as her daughter Chhaya is expecting her first baby.
