Ravi Kishan Responds To Jaya Bachchan's Remarks; 'I Expected Jaya Ji To Support Me'
The debate over the use of drugs by Bollywood celebrities has now reached Parliament. The Narcotics Control Bureau probing Sushant Singh Rajput's death case is after busting the drug nexus in Bollywood. On this note, actor and Lok Sabha member Ravi Kishan had made comments saying that drug addiction is in the film industry too. Following this, today in the Monsoon Session of Parliament, Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan slammed him for his comments and said, 'It's a shame'.

Soon social media went abuzz discussing Jaya Bachchan's comments. Responding to it now, Ravi Kishan has expressed his displeasure. To Aaj Tak, he stated that Jaya Bachchan did not read his statement properly and that everything he said was to save the industry. For the same, he stated that he was expecting support from his senior Jaya Bachchan for his comments, but in turn, was slammed.  

Ravi Kishan further went on to say that the entire Bollywood is not taking drugs, this perception should be removed from the minds of the people. Today, in the Parliament session, Jaya Bachchan was quoted saying, "Just because there are some people, you can’t tarnish the image of the entire industry. I am ashamed that yesterday one of our members in Lok Sabha, who is from the film industry, spoke against it. It is a shame," as reported by ANI. She stated that it is a conspiracy to defame the film industry and that "People in the entertainment industry are being flogged by social media. People who made their names in the industry have called it a gutter. I completely disagree. I hope that the government tells such people not to use this kind of language.”
