According to the latest reports, Rekha will be taking COVID-19 test on her own and will share the reports with BMC
As per last reports, veteran actress Rekha's bungalow in Mumbai has been sealed by BMC after a security guard tested positive for COVID-19. Soon after that, BMC has also put an official notice outside the building declaring it a containment zone. The complex and its surrounding areas have been sanitised by the officials. As of now, no official statement has been given by either Rekha or her spokesperson. However, in the midst of this, reports have it that Rekha will be undergoing a COVID-19 test but she will be doing this on her own, claims ZoomTV online.
According to the portal, the actress has apparently told BMC that she will get her COVID test done on her own and submit the report to them as she doesn't want them to test her. As per Hindustan Times, an official was quoted thus, "Rekha did not want BMC to test her. She informed the body that she will get a test done on her own and submit the report to them." That's not it, lyricist Javed Akhtar, who happens to be Rekha's neighbour, has also been asked to take a COVID-19 test.
The Novel Coronavirus has been paralyzing the globe. Even though a lockdown was imposed in order to curb the spread, the numbers are only rising, especially in Delhi and Mumbai. Earlier, celebs like Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor’s staff had tested positive for Coronavirus. Not so long ago, Aamir Khan’s staff members had also tested positive for COVID-19. For which an official statement was released by the actor on his Instagram account where he also thanked the BMC for taking good care of them.
