Rhea Chakraborty’s Bail Plea Hearing: Lawyer Satish Maneshinde Argues, ‘Had Sushant Singh Rajput Been Alive Today, He Would’ve Been Punished’
The bail applications of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty are being heard by the High Court today. Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde has said that if Sushant were alive today, he would have been punished under Section 20
Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty and others had been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) about three weeks ago. The NCB is investigating the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, and Rhea’s bail application was earlier rejected by the special court, after which she and her brother moved the Bombay High Court. The bail applications of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty are being heard by the High Court today, and Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde is representing the actress.
The hearing is currently going on and Satish Maneshinde commenced the arguments for Rhea and her brother Showik Chakraborty. According to Live Law, Satish Maneshinde argued that in the time that Rhea was associated with Sushant, he was the only consumer of drugs. He claimed that it wasn’t that Sushant got into drugs after Rhea came into his life, and in fact, Sushant’s co-stars Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor have given statements that Sushant was consuming drugs much before 2019.
Satish Maneshinde further stated that Sushant was consuming drugs even before Rhea came into his life, and that none of the accused are consumers of drugs. Live law quoted Satish Maneshinde saying, “Had Sushant Singh Rajput been alive today, he would have been punished under Section 20. Sushant would have then claimed the immunity of rehabilitation and got away with punishment for small quantities.” Take a look:

Meanwhile, a few days ago, several Bollywood names emerged in the drugs link, and Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan were summoned by the NCB.
