After the intervention of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, several shocking revelations have come up. While Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik and Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda had been arrested on Friday, Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the NCB on Tuesday. After spending a night at the NCB headquarters, she was reportedly sent to Byculla Women’s prison, Wednesday morning. She has been sent to 14-day judicial custody, and as per the latest reports, Rhea has also been shifted to a separate cell.
According to a report in Republic, Rhea Chakraborty, who was reportedly sent to the general barracks, had to be shifted to a separate cell room due to security issues. Sources informed Republic that the prison cell room is located near General Barracks on the ground floor of the Byculla prison. Meanwhile, Rhea’s brother Showik and four others have also reportedly been sent to 14-day judicial custody after NCB’s 4-day custody ended.
Meanwhile, Rhea and Showik’s bail plea will be heard on Thursday, that is today, in Special Court, Mumbai. Times Of India quoted Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde saying, “Bail Applications of Rhea Chakraborty and Showik fixed for hearing on 10th Sept 2020 in Special Court, Mumbai.”
The NCB had reportedly claimed in the remand application that Rhea Chakraborty used to procure drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. Rhea was arrested on Tuesday after three consecutive days of questioning by the NCB.
