The one who taught Bollywood what the real meaning of romance is, the one who awed the audience with his flawless performances, one after the other, has left us. Rishi Kapoor passed away this morning at the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. He was battling with Cancer since 2 years.
We have learnt that his last rites will take place at the Chandanwadi crematorium. And the family will leave for the funeral anytime now.
Rishi Kapoor's demise has come as a big shock, to everyone, right a day after another powerhouse of talent, Irrfan Khan's death. The industry is mourning the losses. We spoke to Satish Kaushik a while back, and he seemed extremely shaken by the news.
"Devastating news !!!Can’t believe he is gone. A friend, co-actor, my director and icon of romance of Indian movies. We feel even even more sad because we can’t even be with him in his last journey. Much loved Chintuji, you will always be a heartthrob of millions. Indian Cinema will miss King Kapoor forever. RIP," said Satish Kaushik.
