Over the years, Rishi Kapoor made many good friends in the industry and one of them was filmmaker Rakesh Roshan. In his latest interview, Rakesh Roshan revealed that he had advised Rishi Kapoor to not travel to Delhi for a wedding as they are prone to infection.

Rishi Kapoor had traveled to Delhi to attend a wedding in the month of February. He had to be hospitalised in the capital as his health deteriorated while on the trip. In an interview with Subhash K Jha, Rakesh Roshan said, "Both of us had cancer, though different kinds. I am aware of how infection-prone we are. So when Chintu told me about his plans to go to Delhi in February for a wedding I advised him against it. But he still went, and had a relapse there. When I met Chintu he admitted he should've listened to me and that he made a mistake by going to Delhi."

In an interview with us, a grieving Rakesh Roshan spoke about how lonely he feels post the demise of his dear friend Rishi Kapoor. He quoted, "Rishi was in hospital since 3 weeks. I knew since last evening that he is critical, but what could I do? We are living in such frustrating times. I really don't know what to say, but I must tell you that I am feeling so lonely today. Too many memories and they're all coming rolling back."
