Actor Riteish Deshmukh and brother Amit Deshmukh recently got accused of availing loan waiver meant for farmers. A document stating the same has made its way to social media. However, the actor who is the son of ex-Chief Minister of Maharashtra Vilasrao Deshmukh has come out with a clarification and stated that the document is misleading. He took to Twitter to react on the document and stated that he has not taken any loan, hence, the question of loan waiver does not arise.
The tweet spoke about the tax waiver amounting to Rs 4 crore 70 lakhs that the actor and his brother have availed. The tweet read, "Actor Ritesh Deshmukh and MLA Amit Deshmukh ( sons of Congress Ex-CM Vilasrao Deshmukh ) are availing loan waivers meant for farmers. Amount involved Rs .4 Crore 70 lakhs." Riteish Deshmukh was quick to respond as he took to Twitter and wrote, "Dear @madhukishwar Ji, The said paper in circulation is with malafide motive. Neither me nor my brother @AmitV_Deshmukh have availed any loan as mentioned in the paper posted by you. Hence, there is no question of any loan waiver whatsoever. Please don’t be misled. Thank you."
Amit Deshmukh, Riteish's brother, won the Latur City seat for a third consecutive time in the Legislative Assembly Polls. Riteish had then taken to social media to rejoice this victory of brother by sharing a picture with the caption, "We did it PAPPA!!! Amit Deshmukh wins Latur (city) by 42000+ votes for the 3rd consecutive time. @dhirajvilasraodeshmukh wins Latur (rural) by 1,20,000 votes Thank you people of Latur for this faith & trust."
