Rohit Shetty Feels Honoured As He Inaugurates Gym For Mumbai Police In City; States ‘Not All Heroes Wear Capes, Some Wear Khaki’- See Pics
Rohit Shetty recently took part in the inauguration ceremony of a gym for Mumbai police in the city. Sharing some pictures on Instagram, he feels honoured to be a part of the event
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty highly respects the police force. On multiple occasions, he has called them real-life heroes. Moreover, he respects them to such an extent that he even made a cop-universe — Singham, Simmba and soon-to-be released Sooryavanshi. Rohit Shetty always participates in police functions and events. For the unversed, the director was also honoured with an award at the Sakal Sanman Awards ceremony for his humble support to the Mumbai police during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Well, this time, he took part in the inauguration ceremony of a gym for Mumbai police in the city. Sharing some pictures on Instagram, he feels honoured to be a part of the event. Shetty captioned the pictures with, “Not all heroes wear capes, some wear khaki… mumbai police. honoured” followed by folded hand emoji. Huma Qureshi and Varun Sharma felt proud of it as they dropped heart emojis in the comment section. Meanwhile, his latest film from cop-universe is yet to release in the theatres. The film was expected to release in March 2020 but owing to the pandemic, the release date was postponed indefinitely.
However, during the trailer of Bell Bottom, Akshay Kumar was asked for an update on Sooryavanshi. To which, Akshay said, "Sooryavanshi release date ke baare mein sirf do hi log jaante hai. Ek toh bhagwan jaante hai aur ek toh Rohit Shetty ji jaante hai.”
Akshay then added, “I don’t know when its releasing. Only they can answer. Bahut jaldi aa hi jaani chahiye kyunki saare cinemas khul rahe hai ahiste ahiste. Jaise hi yeh khatam hoga (Bellbottom’s release), toh Sooryavanshi aa jaani chahiye agli mahine ya agle do mahino mein.”
Sooryavanshi also stars Katrina Kaif and canoes by Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn who will be reprising their role as Simmba and Singham respectively.
