Saif Ali Khan Is ‘Not Jealous’ Of Wife Kareena Kapoor’s Success, Says ‘I Don’t Compete Or Feel Bad About It’
In conversation with movie critic Rajeev Masand, actor Saif Ali Khan confessed that he’s not jealous of his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan’s success
Bollywood’s royal couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are currently in news. As Saif’s recent release Laal Kaptaan didn’t do well at the box-office, movie critic and reviewer Rajeev Masand, had an obvious question for the actor. With a house full of actors and a better half who is equally popular and successful, Rajeev asked Saif does his wife’s success make him jealous?
In the most cool manner, Saif replied, “No, no, no. I mean I think we’re far too realistic for that kind of thing. One understands that but no we aren’t as chauvinist...you know things change, things go up and down and things happen. At one point in time somebody is more successful than the other and the other time both people are having a great time. But I have never measured life in those terms. In fact the success of my life has got nothing to do with box office. The actor has always expressed of being proud of how Kareena presents herself on the celluloid and various outings, gushing about her on several occasions.
Infusing a little fun in this serious reply, he further added, “And maybe I can say that she is a bit younger so.... (laughs) I don’t know whatever games we play to feel better. But yeah, I don’t compete or feel bad about that, ever.”
The duo has an age gap of around 10 years; they are parents to two year old son Taimur Ali Khan, who is a star already.
After Laal Kaptaan, Saif shall be seen in Tanhaji: The Ultimate Warrior, Jawani Jaaneman and Bhoot Police. Whereas Kareena after wrapping up Angrezi Medium and Good Newzz, have started shooting for Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha.
