In conversation with Neha Dhupia on #NoFilterNeha, Saif Ali Khan recalled the time when director Vishal Bharadwaj asked him to go naked for a scene in the movie Omkara. During the talk show, the actor said that Vishal Bharadwaj is a lovely director and mentioned the reason for it as well. Saif shared that while shooting for Omkara, there was a scene where he had to say a one-page long dialogue on the lines, "who is this Omkara fellow and he’s not made me the Baahubali, I’ll bloody show him, ill anoint myself the Baahubali, I’m going to kill everyone, you see what I do kind of thing".

As the scene from the movie was when Ajay Devgn appoints Vivek Oberoi as the leader, Saif revealed how the director felt the scene was too talky and suggested something much more interesting. Saif Ali Khan mentioned that Vishal Bharadwaj suggested that they skip the dialogue and do a scene where the actor says nothing at all, standing in front of the mirror. The scene follows Saif looking at himself with revengeful eyes, and the camera moving towards him where he breaks the mirror, his hand bleeds and he anoints him with his blood.

Moving on, the Omkara actor mentioned that it was that moment when he thought that Vishal Bharadwaj is a genius as he converted a one-page dialogue shot into one shot.  Later, the director suggested that Saif should do the scene ‘naked’ and assured him that it will be dimly lit and only his back will be focused. Later, Saif Ali Khan shared that it was then when he demanded that he would do the scene, but only on one condition that only the director Vishal Bharadwaj and Director of Photography (DoP) Tassaduq would be present when the scene is shot.

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan shared that if the makers would be ready to accept his demand, then he wouldn’t mind shooting the scene naked and would have probably done it. The actor then revealed that as Bharadwaj never agreed to direct the actor naked, the scene never turned out that way. Later, Saif Ali Khan also mentioned on the show that in retrospect, he should’ve done the scene maybe as it was 'just too new an idea'. Speaking of the film Omkara, the movie released in 2009 and starred Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Konkana Sen Sharma in pivotal roles and Vivek Oberoi and Bipasha Basu in supporting roles.
