The day before Prabhas and Shruti Haasan's Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire hit theatres, PVR responded to circulating rumours, debunking claims that the movie would not be shown in their cinemas in the South. Reports suggested Hombale Films accused the national cinema chain of giving preference to Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki over Salaar. PVR released an official statement clarifying the situation. "Speculative media reports about SALAAR not releasing at PVR INOX Cinemas are incorrect." The statement emphasized, "SALAAR is highly anticipated and will be screened across all PVR and INOX cinemas nationwide as scheduled on 22 December 2023." Salaar is gearing up for a massive clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki. The Prashanth Neel directorial, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, faces a challenge as reports suggest unequal treatment in cinema chains like PVR INOX and Miraj Cinemas. Hombale Films alleged that despite assurances of equal showcasing for both Salaar and Dunki, the promise hasn't been upheld. The production house's spokesperson expressed their discontent, stating, "Due to unfair showcasing of 'Salaar,' we've decided against releasing in PVR INOX, MIRAJ in southern states. This issue has been under discussion with them for the past two days," as quoted by PTI. ALSO READ: Hombale Films Salaar Part 1: CeaseFire Passed With 'A' Certificate From The Censor Board

This highly anticipated movie, touted as a story of camaraderie, promises unparalleled action sequences. Prabhas is set to deliver high-octane performances, gearing up to showcase intense action scenes, which has heightened the excitement among his fan base. On the other hand, SRK-Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki which is out in theatres today is getting mixed reviews from audiences.
