Salman Khan Recommends Sooraj Pancholi For Heer Ranjha

Sooraj Pancholi may not have had a dream start in Bollywood with Hero but he need not fret. After all, he has Salman Khan mentoring him. The superstar is making sure his find bags his second film - and soon.
We hear, Salman is the reason behind Sooraj being considered for the lead role of Sajid Nadiadwala's spy thriller Heer Ranjha.
You see, the film was earlier being planned with Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone but when they opted out, buzz was, Sajid was keen to cast his Heropanti actor Tiger Shroff.
But in came Sallu bhai. He called up his good friend Nadiadwala and recommended the Hero star to him. He also insisted that Sooraj would fit the character better than Tiger. The filmmaker, who swears by Salman, initiated talks with Sooraj for the project in no time.
"Sooraj is more or less confirmed for the project; only the paper work is pending. The shooting begins by April next year before which Sooraj will have to work on his physique," says a source.
SpotboyE has also learnt that Sajid wants either Alia Bhatt or Shraddha Kapoor to play the female lead.
