While the entire nation was reeling with sad demises of Bollywood’s prolific actors Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor on two consecutive days in April, singer and music composer Wajid Khan’s death came as a shock for one and all. On June 1, Sajid-Wajid’s Wajid Khan passed away due to a cardiac arrest. He was 42. The musician was also suffering from a prolonged illness. Ever since Wajid left for his heavenly abode, his brother Sajid leaves no chance to pay tribute to his loving brother. Today, October 7 marks Wajid Khan’s birth anniversary and Salman Khan along with brother Sohail Khan made it special in their own way.
Sajid Khan took to Insta and shared a video of Salman, Sohail and other celebrating Wajid’s birth anniversary while cutting a cake. Sharing the video of Salman, Sohail and others, Sajid captioned it, “Happy birthday Wajid : grt musician grt soul mind blowing person n dearest brother:: miss u yaar @beingsalmankhan @singer.muskaan @wajidkhan_live @sohailkhanofficial #bollywood #music.” During his successful career, Wajid Khan worked on some hits like Tere Mast Mast Do Nain, Love Me Love Me, Mashallah Mashallah and others, out of which Saamne Hai Savera was his favourite.
Earlier speaking to Zoom TV, Sajid Khan of the Sajid-Wajid duo had said, “The place where I sit in my house there is a picture of him and me on the wall, so I go there and speak to him, I still WhatsApp Wajid. I sent this (Jeet Jayenge Hum) song to him on WhatsApp. I am still talking to him.”
He then added, “I don't want to get in that zone. I want to be in that zone where even if he is not seen, he is there, we are talking. Maybe a different way of remembering him. Maybe soon, I will start calling people from Wajid's phone also." (ALSO READ: Wajid Khan No More: Salman Khan Mourns The Demise Of His Dear Friend: ‘Will Always Miss You And Your Talent’)
