Salman Threatens John To 'Back Off'
If you have been following Salman Khan on Twitter, you know that he announced the release date of his home production Hero on Thursday. The actor tweeted:

Salman has been doing everything to launch Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty in the best way possible. He has been keeping a close watch on the photo-shoots, look tests, edits and VFX work. Don't forget, we were the first to tell you that he's even lending his voice to a song (Salman To Sing For 'hero' Remake, April 13).

So this tweet comes as a surprise. 'Back off'? That sounds more like a threat than a release date announcement? And for whom, may we ask.

Our guess is it's for a certain Mr Abraham! John Abraham tweeted 3 days ago that his film Welcome Back will release on September 4.

It's no secret that Salman and John aren't the best of friends. Things went wrong between them at the Rockstars concert in 2006 when John had reportedly annoyed the superstar over payment issues. He earned himself a place in the Kick star's bad books.

Their cold vibes spilled over to the sets of Ravi Chopra's family drama, Baabul which was on floors then. They often avoided each other and sometimes, even shot scenes with each other's dupes. Salman had also called John all sorts of names. What's more, he had also refused to work with John's then girlfriend Bipasha Basu in an Abbas-Mustan film.

However, in the recent past, there were signs of reconciliation.

Salman hugged John on the sets of Rohit Dhawan's Desi Boyz at Mehboob Studios in 2010, an act that was seen as a ceasefire of sorts. The following year, John extended his best wishes to Salman when he underwent a surgery for trigeminal neuralgia in the USA.

But this latest tweet has brought a new twist in this 'love-hate' relationship.
