Samantha Akkineni To Be The Onscreen PV Sindhu? We Guess Not
A film on ace badminton player PV Sindhu is on cards and the guessing game of who will essay her role onscreen is on. Latest reports suggested that South superstar Samantha Akkineni may step into her shoes
After biopics on Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Saina Nehwal and others, get ready to witness ace badminton player PV Sindhu’s life on celluloid. If reports are to be believed, a film based on her life is on cards. No official announcement has been made as of yet as to who will step into her shoes but whispers are being heard that South Superstar Samantha Akkineni who is being considered for it. Though PV Sindhu picked up Deepika Padukone’s name when asked who she wants to be as her onscreen version, Samantha is no less when it comes to delivering great performances. She has delivered many powerful performances in the past and seemed a perfect fit for the role. But!
If the latest reports are anything to go by, Samantha has supposedly not been approached to be the lead in PV Sindhu biopic. The film which is being bankrolled by Sonu Sood is yet to finalise on the lead star and reportedly the makers never approached Samantha to be a part of the film. Now we don’t know what side of the story is true but we would have loved to Samantha as PV Sindhu. It could have been her breakthrough project in Bollywood considering how well biopics are doing at the box office.
Nonetheless, Samantha isn’t affected with all these rumours as she is holidaying in Ibiza, Spain. She is there with her husband Naga Chaitanya and her family to celebrate Nagarjuna Akkineni's 60th birthday. She had posted a sweet message for Nagarjuna on his birthday on social media.
