Sanjay Dutt has always spoken highly of his father Sunil Dutt in the press. Even in his biopic Sanju, the talking point after the film was the beautiful bond that the father – son have shared throughout their life. Sunil Dutt has helped and supported his son through the most difficult times of his life. From drug overdose to getting arrested for ‘act of terrorism’ Sunil Dutt stood with Sanjay Dutt through the most horrific times of his life. On the occasion of his birth anniversary, Sanjay Dutt took to Instagram to share a throwback picture with his father Sunil Dutt.


In the black and white picture, Sunil Dutt can be seen with a young Sanjay Dutt and his little sister. Sanjay captioned the picture “Happy Birthday Dad. I miss you!”. Sanjay Dutt lost his father to a heart attack on May 25, 2005. The latter was at his residence in Bandra when he passed away.




On the work front, post Kalank’s debacle at the box office, Sanjay Dutt has several releases in 2019 and 2020. He will be a part of Ashutosh Gowariker’s magnum opus Panipat, which also stars Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. Besides that, he will be seen in Sadak 2 starring Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur, the film will see Mahesh Bhatt’s return to direction after many years.
