Sanjay Raut Questions Akshay Kumar For His Silence On Kangana Ranaut’s PoK Remark: ‘Is Mumbai Important Only For Making Money?'
A few days ago, Kangana Ranaut landed in a controversy after her tweet wherein she questioned why Mumbai felt like Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Her tweet was in response to Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut asking Kangana not to return to Mumbai if she was so scared of the Mumbai Police. Kangana’s PoK remark garnered controversy, and it did not go down well with Netizens. Now, Sanjay Raut has questioned Bollywood celebrities’ silence and wrote that someone like Akshay Kumar should have spoken up.

Kangana Ranaut had tweeted, “Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai, after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?” Now, Sanjay Raut, in the Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana wrote that with the Mumbai-based film industry has given the Bollywood celebs success, and that half the film industry should have come forth and supported Mumbai after Kangana’s controversial remarks. He also added that someone like Akshay Kumar should have also spoken up when Kangana, in her tweet, compared Mumbai to PoK.

He had hoped that the film stars would have clarified that her view was not that of the film industry. He then questioned whether Mumbai was only important for the sake of making money.


After Kangana Ranaut’s tweet, a few celebrities such as Swara Bhasker, Riteish Deshmukh, Dia Mirza, Sonu Sood, and many others came out in support of Mumbai, praising it and terming it as one of the safest cities to live in.
