Saqib Saleem Reacts To Payal Ghosh Dragging Huma Qureshi's Name In #MeToo Allegations Against Anurag Kashyap: 'My Sister Is My Life, My Pride'
Actress Payal Ghosh's #MeToo row has been hitting the headlines for quite some time now. She alleged that she was sexually harassed by Anurag Kashyap and that it happened many years ago. She claimed that he forced himself on her. Amidst her allegations, she even dragged Richa Chadha and Huma Qureshi's name,  and claimed that the filmmaker had asked for sexual favours from them. This obviously didn't go down well with both of the actresses, Richa slapped her with a legal notice, while Huma shared a statement on her Instagram account. Reacting to Huma's name being dragged in the controversy, her brother/actor Saqib Saleem said he feels bad when someone speaks ill about his sister.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Saqib also said that he doesn't feel powerful as an actor but is fearful that out of nowhere ‘anyone can say anything’ about someone. “But what can I do? As a brother I am saying, what can I do? Who should I fight? What should I say? Does it feel bad when someone says wrong things about your sister? 100%. My sister is my life, my pride. If someone said anything about her, I would feel very bad,” he said.

"Now, I have told myself I just don’t want to be a part of this outside world. Twitter and all are irrelevant. If I can keep my sister, my parents happy in real life, I am happy,” he further added. In her statement, talking about her relationship with Anurag Kashyap, Huma revealed that he neither misbehaved with her nor with anyone else. She also revealed, she chose not to comment on the issue as she didn’t want to get into social media fights and media trials.

A part of her statement read, “I feel really angry at being dragged into this mess. I feel angry not just for myself but also every woman whose years of hard work and struggle gets reduced to such baseless conjecture and allegations in their workplace. Please let’s refrain from this narrative.” ALSO READ: Payal Ghosh Says ‘If Found Hanging From Ceiling, It’s Not Suicide’, Alleges Double-Cross After Giving Interview About Allegations Against Anurag Kashyap
