Sara Ali Khan Breaks Her Silence On Getting Lesser Screen Time In Films; Says ‘Aapki Aukat Nahin Hoti To Make Such Comparisons'
Sara Ali Khan, who made her Bollywood debut with 2018 film Kedarnath is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Coolie No 1. The trailer of the film starring Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan and Paresh Rawal released recently, and it was all things entertaining. While Sara is busy with the promotions of her film, she recently opened up about getting lesser screen time in the Rohit Shetty film Simmba with Ranveer Singh and now, in Coolie No 1 with Varun Dhawan. The actress broke her silence and shared her views.

In a report by PTI, when asked what her experience was after featuring in two big-scale comedies, and what it has taught her about the space for women in the genre, Sara Ali Khan said that she does not compare herself with her co-actors. The actress said, “When you're working with people like Ranveer and Varun, aapki aukat nahin hoti (you are not in a position) to make such comparisons. You're just thankful that people like Rohit, David sir, Ranveer or Varun are working with you. You just don't want to compare these things."

Sara Ali Khan went on to mention further how screen time doesn’t matter because people one works with teach and inspire one so much. Talking about it, she continued, “Screen time doesn't matter because these people teach and inspire you so much. You are narrating a good story, entertaining people, so who cracked which joke is a battle I don't want to get into.” Sara also said that she considers the film Simmba her movie as much as it was Ranveer. The actress said, “You have to own whatever you do. I don't think it's about comparison, about women versus men, me versus Ranveer or Varun. It's a collective experience and energy, which will reflect on a scene and only make the film better. My goal is just that. It won't be good if I start competing with Ranveer or Varun."
