David Dhawan is known for his classic comedies made under the title of No. 1. A few months back, it was reported that the ace director will be revisiting one of his No. 1 series with Varun Dhawan in lead and it will be an adaptation of Coolie No. 1. And why not? After all Judwaa 2 was a stupendous success. And now the latest development is that the film has found its heroine too.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Sara Ali Khan will be seen romancing Varun Dhawan in the remake, stepping into the shoes of the charismatic Karisma Kapoor. The film’s dialogues have been penned by Farhad Samji, who also wrote dialogues for Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, again starring Sara. The film is expected to take off in July.

Farhad spoke to the leading tabloid about his association with Dhawan for this classic’s adaptation and said, “It is a boon for any writer to work with a dedicated actor like Varun. I narrated the dialogue draft to him recently and he immediately asked me for a copy, so he could rehearse his lines even though there is still time for the film to go on the floors. I am looking forward to teaming up with Sara for the second time,”

Interestingly, Farhad’s association with David goes back to early 2000s as it was Dhawan who gave him his break. Recalling the same, the writer said, “I was hopping from one studio to the next when I happened to bump into Salman (Khan) who introduced me to David ji. He took me on as the lyricist for one of the songs of Hum Kisise Kum Nahin. The film was initially supposed to be made with Salman, but he opted out and was replaced by Sanjay Dutt. With Salman’s exit, I thought even my song would be dropped. But both Salman and David ji promised me that it would be filmed on Sanjay. It marked my arrival in the industry,” Well, it will be quite exciting to see Sara and Varun romance each other on-screen.
