Sara Ali Khan Says Her Parents Saif Ali Khan And Amrita Singh 'Weren't Happy Together'; Opens Up About Her Equation With Them

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh got married in 1991 and later became parents to two children - Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. After things didn't work out between them, they parted ways in 2004. The couple moved on and are now happy in their respective lives. Sara Ali Khan recently opened up about her parents' separation and said that her parents weren't happy together and the best decision at that time was to part ways.
In an appearance on Voot Original Feet Up With The Stars, Sara said, "It's very simple. If you see there are two options. Either live in the same house where no one is happy or live separately, where everyone is happy with their own lives, and you also get a different kind of love and warmth every time you meet."
She continued, "I live with my mother. She's my best friend and means everything to me. I have a father too who is always available on the phone, and I can meet him whenever I want. I don't think they were happy together ultimately, so I guess to separate was the best decision to make at the time." Sara further mentioned that her parents are happy in their own world and because of that, she and Ibrahim are happy too. "All of us are happier than we would have been for sure. In her debut appearance on Koffee With Karan - hosted by Karan Johar - also, Sara had spoken about her parents' divorce. She had said she had two very happy homes, instead of one very unhappy home. She had then appeared with Saif Ali Khan on the show.
On the work front, Sara Ali Khan will next be seen in Atrangi Re. The movie also stars Akshay Kumar and Dhanush. A couple of days ago, Sara shared a mesmerising picture of herself clicked by Akshay Kumar.
