Sara Ali Khan To Play Irrfan Khan’s Daughter In Hindi Medium Sequel?

Sara Ali Khan is currently shooting for Kedarnath which
also stars Sushant Singh Rajput. However, much before her debut film has hit
theatres, the actress is likely to land a role in Hindi Medium sequel.
If all goes well, the Kedarnath actress
will play the role of Irrfan’s daughter (Pia) in the sequel. A source told
Mumbai Mirror, "The story flash-forwards by a decade so five-year-old Pia
will be in her teens now, around 15-16 year-old. The story will be a fresh take
on the Indian educational system with little reference to the original."

Hindi Medium was directed by Saket Chaudhary and also
starred Saba Qamar and Deepak Dobriyal in key roles. While it is said that
Irrfan Khan will continue his role as Raj Batra in the film, that Saba Qamar,
who played Irrfan's wife the film, won’t be a part of the sequel. Saba had
initially expressed her desire to be a part of the sequel where she had said,
"After the massive success of Hindi Medium, the producers are all set for
a sequel. I hope Irrfan and I get to work in the second instalment of the
blockbuster."
Not just the plotline, but Irrfan’s performance in Hindi
Medium too garnered appreciation from critics and audience alike. The actor
also won the ‘Best Actor’ Filmfare Award for his performance in the movie.
Coming back to Sara, it is definitely going to be a big
deal if she gets finalised for this one! After all, not all newbies get to
share the screen space with someone like Irrfan Khan, who is one of the finest
actors in Bollywood.
