Sexologist Vijay Abbot Files Stay Order Suit In High Court On Sonakshi Sinha Film Khandaani Shafakhana- EXCLUSIVE
Sonakshi Sinha's upcoming film Khandaani Shafakhana has run into some sort of trouble. Delhi sexologist Dr Vijay Abbot has filed a stay order suit in High Court demanding a clamp on the movie's release (slated for Aug 2). Dr Abbot has also sent a notice to T-Series (producer) and Shilpi Dasgupta (director) in this regard. In addition to all this, Dr Abbot has written to the Censor Board to not grant a Censor Certificate to the film.

SpotboyE.com is in possession of a copy of the letter that mentions all this and has been addressed to CBFC (Censor Board Of Film Certification) at their Peddar Road office. The letter has been sent via Dr Abbot's advocates Singh & Associates. SEE THE COPY OF THE LETTER BELOW.

The letter dated July 18 states that Dr Abbot, who is the son of famous sexologist (late) Dr Hakim Hari Kishan Lal, "has raised the dispute against unauthorised and illegal use of our client's father's well-reputed trademark Khandani Shafakhana. Also the portrait of our client's father has been blatantly copied which is in fact unauthorised use of the copyright act attached thereto." Interestingly, Sonakshi also plays a sexologist in the film and runs a clinic by the name Khandaani Shafakhana.

We do not know if T-Series and Shilpi will have to change the film's title or the Court will permit T-Series to go ahead with the same title. It is also not known at this point of time what decision will the Prasoon Joshi headed CBFC take. This is clearly a developing story. Stay on SpotboyE.com for further updates on it.
