Shabana Azmi Health Update: Actress' MRI Clear, Condition Improving Rapidly- But Will Remain In The ICU For 48 Hours More- EXCLUSIVE
Shabana Azmi is still in hospital and in the ICU. We bring you a quick update on her health. The actress' MRI was done and it is clear; her condition is improving, but she will continue to be in the ICU for another 48 hours at least
On Jan 18, Shabana Azmi met with a severe car accident on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway as her car rammed into a truck. The actress was rushed to MGM Hospital in Panvel where the CT Scan was done and later, she was shifted to Kokilaben Hospital in Andheri.
Several celebs paid a visit to the actress at the hospital and her husband Javed Akhtar has been sharing updates on her health. We even had spoken to Satish Kaushik. Now, Boney Kapoor called up Baba Azmi, Shabana’s brother and here’s what he told Mr Kapoor.
“Shabana Azmi is improving rapidly. The MRI was done and it was clear. She is not on sedation anymore. However, she will remain in the ICU for about 48 hours more just to see if everything is maintained well enough,” said Boney Kapoor to SpotboyE.com.
So far, several celebrities like Honey Irani with daughter Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar, Farhan’s ex-wife Adhuna Bhabani, Vipul Shah, Ashutosh, and Sunita Gowariker, Farah Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani, Vicky Kaushal and Jeetendra among others visited the actress at the hospital. Even the Chairperson of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) paid a visit to the ailing actress at the hospital.
For those who don’t know, Shabana’s driver Amlesh Yogendra Kamat has been accused of rash driving by the truck driver named Rajesh Pandurang Shinde with whom Azmi’s car rammed into. An FIR has been lodged against him which led to great damage to the car as well. Several celebs have also taken to their respective social media handles to pray for her speedy recovery.
