Shabana Azmi Recalls Her Near- Fatal 2020 Car Accident; Thanks Her Well Wishers, Doctors And Hospital Staff That She Is Left With No Trace Of It
January 2020 left an extremely bitter memory for senior actress Shabana Azmi. She met with an accident on the Mumbai-Pune expressway, leading to an injury. The actress was later rushed to a nearby hospital.  On Monday, the actress penned a tweet, recalling the mishap and thanking her well-wishers who prayed for her. She thanked the security personnel for rescuing her from his tragic accident. She also thanked the doctor and staff members of Kokilaben hospital for taking utmost care of her.

On the closing note, Shabana Azmi tagged Tina Ambani and mentioned having no traces of the mishap after a year now. Along with her tweet, paying gratitude to those who helped her, she shared a picture of her, all smiling for the camera. Her Tweet read, “It was at this time last year that I had my near fatal road accident! Thank you for the prayers of well wishers around the globe, the security personnel who rescued me ,Doctors and Staff of #Kokilaben Ambani Hospital,  #Tina Ambani that I am left with no trace of it. Deeply grateful”

Recalling about getting back to work after the accident, the actress in conversation with ETimes shared she fainted, as she had a close shave, also she had a brain injury. She said, “I had fainted. I was told it was a very close shave. Resuming work 40 days after her accident, she flew to Budapest, she credited wishes from her well wishes from across the globe helped her recover. “But 40 days later, I resumed work for ‘Halo’ in Budapest. Work keeps you going and you need to carry on. I received so much respect and concern from all parts of the world during that accident period and I think that's one of the main reasons I recovered. I still go off to Khandala but have to be a little careful of course,” she added.
