Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan - they have been an epitome of 'happy couple' for years. It was in 1991 that Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan tied the knot and three decades since then, they have been setting some major relationship goals for all. In an industry where relationships change at a blink of an eye, SRK and Gauri have proved that nothing can go wrong when there's real love. They have three kids, Aryan, Suhana and AbRam and they make for the most complete and happy family of B-town. Here's a little throwback to how SRK and Gauri's journey of love began.
Numerous reports suggest that SRK met Gauri at a party in the 1980s. He was just 18 then, and Gauri was 14. On Anupam Kher's show Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai, SRK had revealed, "I am very shy in personal life. I had never asked a girl out." He further added, "I danced with her, she was very good. I asked for her telephone number and she was the first girl with whom I had danced or asked for their number. I felt that she is the one for me, as she has not told me a 'no' for now." Their first date after the party is said to have happened by a pool sipping colas and lasted for five minutes. And that's how their story began. A report in Vogue also suggests that SRK used to call up Gauri Khan's residential number as Shaheen.
Well, what's a relationship without fights? It's reported that SRK and Gauri too had their share of fights during their courtship period. Once after a fight, Gauri even left Delhi and traveled to Mumbai without informing SRK. He then followed her to the city of dreams and won her heart back.
Coming to the proposal, on the same show, SRK revealed that when he proposed to Gauri, he didn't wait for her answer. "I had a Fiat back then and I was dropping her home. That is when I asked her if she will marry me and went off, I didn't even wait for her to say 'yes' or 'no.' She must have said a 'yes' only, because then we were married off," SRK had confessed.
