The filmmaker,
who made cults like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Kabhi Haa Kabhi Naa, left for his
heavenly abode on Oct 6, 2017. Kundan Shah was 70 and suffered a cardiac arrest
in his sleep.
No sooner, the fraternity got to know about
Kundan Shah’s death, celebrities like Farhan Akhtar, Shah Rukh Khan, Hansal
Mehta and a host of other celebs started posting condolence messages on
Twitter.

Last evening, a prayer meet was organised for the late filmmaker which
was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi among a few
others.

At the meet, Shah Rukh recalled his earlier days with Shah and said that
he is who is he because of Kundan’s love and care. Check out the video below:

Kundan Shah
worked with SRK in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa which was a turning point in the
superstar’s life. He played a lovable character with a hint of greyness so
convincingly that post the film, SK started getting offers for negative
characters. He also won the Filmfare Critics
Award for Best Actor for stupendous performance.

Along with films, Kundan Shah also directed the popular Doordarshan
comedy series Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi and Nukkad. In November 2015, Shah along with
23 other directors announced they were returning their National Awards to the
central government as part of a protest against growing intolerance in the
country.
Well, Shah Rukh
Khan’s love for the ace filmmaker and his contribution in King Khan’s career is
immeasurable. The veteran director might not be present with us in person
anymore but his work will always remind the industry of his supreme talent.
