Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Salman Khan Got Twitter Blue Tick Back For FREE; But Kangana, Amitabh Bachchan And Others Paid For It; Here’s Why!
Twitter has seen major changes ever since Elon Musk was reinstated as the CEO of the micro-blogging website. The community was left confused after the initiation of new conditions for tickmarks and their series of different colours. Interestingly, the Twitter blue tick fiasco is a buzzing topic in town and Bollywood celebs seem to enjoy it more than anyone else.

From Amitabh Bachchan to Priyanka Chopra, many Bollywood stars are dying for the tick marks. However, amid all of the back-to-back goof-ups, one question that still got people scratching their heads is - How some people have received the blue tick mark for free and some are paying for it?

It all started with Twitter removing all legacy verified blue Ticks from major accounts except those who subscribed (paid) to Twitter Blue. This instantly sparked outrage as several celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, and others lost their verified badge on the micro-blogging site.

Now, Twitter has started from the foundation and started returning the blue badges to accounts with more than 1 million followers.

In merely a few days blue tick returned for actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, and Hrithik Roshan without even paying for it.

However, the latest development did not do well with other celebrities as they had already paid for the Twitter Blue Subscription in the interim when this whole development from Twitter was still in process. Many celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Jr NTR and SS Rajamouli among others had paid for the subscription and it meant that these stars voluntarily started paying for the blue badge.

Kangana Ranaut also faced challenges even after her account was restored after years of a ban and as part of the policy. The outcome was because, if a Twitter account was freed from suspension the verification badge is automatically removed.

Without aiming at the legacy verification process, the actress chose to pay and get her account verified immediately.

For the unversed, the Twitter Blue subscription costs Rs 900 per month for mobile users and Rs 650 per month for desktop users (Rs 6800 per year).
