Shah Rukh Khan, on Tuesday, shared a picture of himself with a caption regarding OTT and it left his fans quite excited. King Khan teased everyone saying ‘Kuch kuch hone wala hai, OTT ki duniya mein.’ And, this gave rise to speculations that the actor has launched his OTT platform SRK+ and also shared its logo. Soon after this, his loyal fan base and friends from the industry started congratulating SRK.  However, as per the latest report, the Dilwale actor has not launched his OTT platform, or app, it was just an ad.

Yes, you read that right! An ETimes TV report claimed that the poster that Shah Rukh shared was simply from an upcoming ad for Disney+ Hotstar. Of late, the actor has been shooting for a lot of ads for this OTT platform and this is one more. A source close to the development was quoted saying, "One wonders how and why there was so much of guesswork being done regarding Shah Rukh's poster. A right official announcement may soon be in the offing.”

Yesterday, the 56-year-old actor delighted his fans as he shared a photo where he was seen giving thumbs-up, and wrote, “Kuch kuch hone wala hai, OTT ki duniya mein.” Soon after this, the comments section of his post was flooded with congratulatory messages from his, fans, followers, and Bollywood friends. Salman Khan too tweeted about the news and wrote, “Aaj ki party meri taraf se @iamsrk. Congrats on your new OTT app, SRK+.”

While giving SRK a sweet shout-out, Karan Johar wrote, “Biggest news of the year! @iamsrk this is going to change the face of OTT. Super excited!!!.”  Notably, Anurag Kashyap revealed that he is teaming up with Shah Rukh Khan on this project and that it’s a dream come true for him. He had written, “Dream come true! On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for the release of his comeback film 'Pathaan', which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the movie is slated to hit the theatres in January 2023.
