Shah Rukh Khan is finally going to end his 2-year sabbatical and the fans of the superstar are super psyched to see him again on the big screen. The actor was last seen in 2018 Aanand L. Rai's flick, Zero alongside Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Having said that, SRK has reportedly signed his next with South director Atlee and has been making headlines all year long. With this, we have learned about an interesting update regarding the film and that is Shah Rukh Khan will play a double role in this untitled film. According to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, SRK will play the role of a father and son in the action flick.
Reportedly, he will essay the role of an investigative officer of a top agency and a most wanted criminal. It is said that the father who is an officer is set to catch his criminal son. Well, it would be pretty thrilling to see SRK in the dual role once again. Speaking of dual roles, King Khan has played such roles in the past with Duplicate, Don, and Fan. And seeing him again donning the same style in this upcoming film has taken our excitement to another level. The report further mentioned that Khan will sport heavy prosthetics to play the role of the father and the film is expected to roll out next year.
Apart from this film, SRK is said to have signed Yash Raj Studios 50th Anniversary film. The announcement of the film will be made next month and as per the report, Shah Rukh Khan’s film is titled Pathan. The title of the film is based on the character of SRK. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer will be directed by Hrithik Roshan’s WAR director Siddharth Anand. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. He also has Rajkumar Hirani's untitled next which is based on the concept of immigration.

On the completion of 25 years of Dilwale Dulhani Le Jaayenge, SRK posted a clip from the film and revealed that this film will always be special for him. He wrote, "25 years!!! Filled with gratitude towards you for loving Raj & Simran, with all your heart.
