Shah Rukh's Dilwale Wins Single Screen War Against Bajirao
Sunil Lulla of Eros is on a bed of hot coal. Bombay High Court has decided that Eros' contract cannot debar single screens from screening SRK starrer Dilwale whose release coincides with its Bajirao Mastani tomorrow.

The hearing which was slated for 4.30 pm today (Single screens breach Bajirao contract for Dilwale, face court hearing tomorrow, December 16) has gone in favour of the single screen owners who had decided to release Dilwale despite having signed a contract with Eros, which stated that they would release their Bajirao Mastani exclusively (Shah Rukh Vs Deepika War Gets Nastier, Sep 23).

So what's the Bombay High Court order? Reveals a source, "Single screens have been told that they can release Dilwale, but then Eros reserves the right to claim damages from them."

Says the source, "This in turn implies that the single screens who do not wish to pay damages can restrain from releasing Dilwale. But it's difficult that any single screen owner would like to ignore Shah Rukh Khan and put all his eggs in the Bajirao Mastani basket. There is a big demand for Dilwale."

Adds the source, "There's a very good demand for Bajirao Mastani too. Perhaps it's only fair that every movie-goer has both the biggies being screened in a theatre close to him."

Shah Rukh, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Sunil Lulla and his brother Kishore won't sleep a wink tonight. Fights were never so interesting, isn't it?
