Shahid Kapoor Making OTT Debut: Actor Says He Loves KK, Manoj Bajpayee In Their Web Shows, They’re Breaking New Ground, Trying Different Things
Shahid Kapoor is undoubtedly one of the most versatile actors that we have in the industry. The actor, time and again, has proved his excellent acting skills by delivering power-packed performances. His last release Kabir Singh was a blockbuster and smashed many records at Box Office. After the success of Kabir Singh, Shahid announced that he is making his OTT debut with The Family Man's director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s new show.

Shahid is all excited to try his hands in the digital medium with the upcoming untitled drama-thriller series. In a recent conversation with Etimes, the Jab We Met actor revealed why he decided to debut in a digital forum. Explaining the same, he said, “Look, the challenge is not the only reason you make a decision. A career is driven by many factors, and the decision-maker is the only one who knows why he is making a choice. He’s in the best place to do that. Hence, he must take the onus for whatever happens — good or bad. That is what I have learned in life. I hear everyone and do what I feel, and not what I always want.” ALSO READ:Shahid Kapoor Starrer Jersey Gets A New Release Date; Film To Hit The Theatre Screens On April 14, To Clash With KGF 2

He went on and added that being an actor, one should always try to deliver something new to the audience. Shahid mentioned that he wanted to try another format of content, hold on to a character for eight-nine episodes.

“I have done films for 18-19 years now, and the one thing that can happen which I am afraid of, is that I will get bored and start doing it like an everyday job. I like something that is different from what I usually do,” the actor further said.

The Haider star also praised KK and Manoj Bajpayee saying he absolutely loved their web series and how well they’re breaking new ground and trying different things.

Shahid is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming sports drama Jersey, which got postponed due to Omicron. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film is now slated to release on 14th April 2022.
