Shahid Kapoor-Mira Kapoor Can’t Contain Their Happiness As Dad Pankaj Kapur Gets A Honorary Doctorate

It’s time for celebrations in Shahid Kapoor’s household, as papa Pankaj Kapur has been recently felicitated with an honorary doctorate. Soon after the good news was out, lovebirds Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput took to their respective social media accounts and congratulated Dr. Pankaj Kapur by sharing an adorable picture of the Shandaar actor in his graduation outfit, as he posed proudly at the felicitation ceremony. Both Shahid and Mira, in their caption, wrote, “Congratulations Dad! Dr. Pankaj Kapur.”
The picture sees the veteran actor wearing a black graduation gown and golden academic robes. Indeed a proud moment for Pankaj’s entire family. Well, Shahid has always hailed his father Pankaj for playing a vital role in his career choices. In an interview with PTI, the actor had said, “Nobody else had the guts to play these characters. Maybe because I am my father’s son, I felt the need to play such flawed characters.” He added, “You’ve to make choices which people around you say aren’t safe. You have to learn to find yourself as an artiste and not try and be like hundred other successful people.”
Pankaj, on the other hand, had complimented Shahid by saying, “My son has been wiser than me in terms of his career graph. He saw to it that he became a star first and start to get all the roles that he wanted to do. I think it was a smarter move.”

On the work front, Shahid Kapoor was last seen in Kabir Singh, a film that managed to shatter records, despite a lot of negativity and criticism surrounding its plot. At present, he is shooting for Jersey, which is an official remake of a Telugu film that goes by the same name. It also stars Super 30 fame Mrunal Thakur.
