Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput tied the knot in July 2015 and a year later, they welcomed their first child Misha Kapoor. The couple had been house hunting ever since Mira Rajput was expecting her second child, son Zain, who was born last year in September. Shahid Kapoor currently resides at a beach facing apartment in Juhu, but was looking for his dream house, with his family expanding. He found his dream house in a plush residential apartment in Worli, Mumbai in July last year and announced it when they were expecting their second child. Now, as per reports, the apartment is ready for possession.
The lavish new sea-facing duplex in Worli reportedly came with a hefty price- tag. While earlier there was no clarity as to when the couple will move in, as per a report in Mumbai Mirror, its going to happen soon as the house is now ready for possession. A source close to the development informed Mumbai Mirror that the actor had been looking for something more suitable for a family of four and this over 8000 square feet apartment that they closed the deal on, is expected to be ready for possession by the year end. This development fueled the speculation that the Kapoors might move in. The source revealed “Shahid was looking for an unrestricted view of the city, and the 500 square-feet balcony in the new house faces the Bandra-Worli sea link, offering a great view of the city’s skyline. The apartment complex also features indoor facilities like spa, swimming pool, gym, and ballrooms.” Shahid and Mira had been giving a few clues that they were working on their new house and had earlier shared pictures with Gauri Khan, who according to rumours, has been appointed as the interior designer. Buzz is that Bollywood celebs like Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone Ranveer Singh and Abhishek Bachchan also live in the same building and Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, Yuvraj Singh and other celebs also live nearby. According to reports doing the rounds of the Internet, the couple paid a massive amount of Rs. 56 crore for the flat with an ectra Rs 2.91 Crore for stamp duty.
