Sharmaji Namkeen: Alia Bhatt Joins Neetu Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, And Other Kapoor Family Members To WATCH Rishi Kapoor’s Last Film: ‘Legends Are Forever’
Sharmaji Namkeen makers recently held a screening of the film in memory of the late actor which was attended by his family members
Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor’s two-year-long battle finally ended in 2020, while he was working with Juhi Chawla for their upcoming film titled - Sharmaji Namkeen. Producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar were committed to finishing the project, as it would be Rishi Kapoor’s last film.
According to recent reports, Rishi Kapoor’s last on-screen appearance is all set to release on Amazon Prime Video and from the looks of it, fans have been eagerly waiting for the film’s release.
The makers of the film recently held a screening of the film in memory of the late actor which was attended by his family members. Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Riddhima Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Armaan Jain, among others were in attendance at the screening, as reported by Indian Express.
Interestingly, Riddhima shared a few photos from the screening, followed by a still of the film featuring her late father.
Her caption read: “It’s been almost two years since dad left us physically; but his charisma is still felt and his legend is still alive and will forever be. Today, as I watch the last film of my father, actor par excellence, a devoted son and brother, a doting husband and the most wonderful dad in the universe; I feel immensely proud of being his daughter! Paresh ji thank you for completing the movie. The family will always be indebted for your kind gesture.”
Considering Rishi Kapoor’s medical condition, the actor wasn’t able to complete the film and due to his sudden unfortunate demise, Paresh Rawal later stepped into his shoes to complete the film.
Sharmaji Namkeen has been directed by Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Excel Entertainment in association with MacGuffin Pictures. The film also stars Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha, and Isha Talwar.
Sharmaji Namkeen is all set to release on March 31.
