Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal’s latest release 'Sharmaji Namkeen' has fallen prey to piracy, as it has been leaked online for free watch and download. Reportedly, the film is available on Tamilrockers and others torrent sites to watch and download in HD. The film also stars Juhi Chawala in a pivotal role and tells a story of a retired widower, who finds cooking as an escape from his loneliness post his retirement.
As per the latest reports, ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ has got leaked online and is now available for streaming on torrent sites. In fact, there is also a HD print of the movie to watch online. This is not the first time that a Bollywood movie has become a victim of piracy, in the past, many big-budget movies have got leaked online despite stern actions against these pirated sites. Ahead of its release, Rishi Kapoor’s family, particularly his son Ranbir Kapoor has been promoting the film on different platforms. In an promotional video, the Rockstar actor had said that ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ will always be one of his fondest memories of his late father. “You must have heard ‘The show must go on’, but I’ve seen Papa live his life. Sharmaji Namkeen will always be one of the fondest memories of my father. Up on screen, bringing a smile to his countless fans,” said Ranbir in the video while urging fans to shower love on the film like they always did on Rishi Kapoor.
Directed by Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Excel Entertainment in association with MacGuffin Pictures, the film stars both Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal in the role of Sharmaji. The parts that were left to be shot after Rishi’s tragic death in 2020, were later completed by Paresh Rawal. The family entertainer was released on Amazon Prime Video today, on March 31.
