Shekhar Ravjiani is all set to make his acting debut with Neerja. The film, which stars Sonam Kapoor as Neerja Bhanot, revolves around the Pan Am airhostess who died while saving passengers aboard the hijacked flight 73 in 1986. The music composer-cum-singer plays Sonam’s love interest in the movie.
While Neerja had an arranged marriage initially, she returned to her parents in Mumbai when the marriage went sour. Post this, she trained to become an airhostess. During her stint as a flight attendant, the 23-year-old fell in love with a man who in his late twenties.
This is the character that Shekhar will be essaying.
