Self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. A few days ago, he was arrested by Mumbai Police over his controversial tweet in 2020 where he allegedly used derogatory remarks against late actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan. Now, as per the latest reports, KRK, who is currently in 14-day judicial custody, has been arrested by Versova Police for allegedly ‘demanding sexual favours from an actress.

As per an India.com report, the complainant who is an actress, singer, and fitness model in her complaint revealed that she met Kamaal in 2017 at a party where he introduced himself as a producer and he promised her to give her the lead role in a film featuring Emraan Hashmi. Confirming the news of KRK’s second arrest, ANI tweeted, “Kamaal Rashid Khan arrested by Versova Police for demanding sexual favours & holding the complainant’s hand in the first week of January 2019. The actress has lodged a complaint against Kamaal Rashid Khan and told the police that he tried to have sex with her when she visited his residence in 2019. She could not file a complaint against him at that time fearing her career in the industry but in 2021, she filed an FIR at Versova police station. The FIR against KRK was registered under Indian Penal Code sections 354 A (sexual harassment) and 509 (word, act or gesture intended to insult a woman’s modesty).

The report added that the actress also alleged that Kamaal made explicit comments about her over the phone.
