Ranbir Kapoor opens up about his biggest insecurity as a parent and its every father ever!
Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most sought-after actors from the industry. From being a chocolate boy to dabbling with the fantasy genre in his recently release Brahmastra, he has professionally impressed the audience with his versatile roles for over 15 years now. On a personal front, however, he is over the moon as he recently welcomed his first child with his wife, actress Alia Bhatt. The actor recently opened up about his insecurities as a father during a media interaction.
The 40-year-old actor attended the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on December 7. As per the video shared by Brut India, Ranbir expressed that the 40 year age gap between him and his kids is a huge concern for him. It always makes him wonder if he would ever be able to play football them. Quoted by DNA, he said, “I am wondering why did I take so long. I should have become a father earlier. My biggest insecurity is that when my children are 20 and 21, I will be 60 years old. Will I be able to play football with them? Will I be able to run with them?” ALSO READ: OMG! The Shamshera actor went on to reveal that, the words ‘I have a daughter’ hasn’t hit him yet. Whenever he talks about his daughter Raha, he still seems to be taken aback by the overwhelming feelings. Talking about his wife Alia and sharing his feelings with her, he said, “We have been together as boyfriend-girlfriend a couple of years back, then husband and wife. I was just telling her that you know the words ‘I have a daughter’ has not hit me yet. I have not said this enough. In interviews, I may be saying it but every time I say ‘daughter’, I go ‘Woah, what is this? I have stars in my brain.”
Speaking about how they are planning to manage their work and home life, Ranbir said, “I don’t work a lot, about 180-200 days. She does a lot more work and is way more busy. But we will balance it out. Maybe I’ll take a break when she’s working, or she can, when I am out for work.”
Talking about her little princess Raha, who was born on November 6, rumour has it that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be following in the footsteps of Kareena Kapoor Khan. After the little munchkin turns six months old, Alia will herself show the baby’s face to the world through her social media handles. According to the reports by Koimoi, Alia and Ranbir have decided to let the paparazzi click their baby’s pictures as the possibility of her photos getting leaked, no matter how much precaution is taken, is much higher.
