Shraddha Kapoor Shares Priceless Throwback PHOTOS With Her 'Aaji' Lata Mangeshkar; Calls Her 'Greatest Of All Time'
Shraddha Kapoor penned a heartfelt note for her 'aaji' Lata Mangeshkar
Shraddha Kapoor shared a bunch of priceless photos of Lata Mangeshkar on Tuesday. She also penned a note remembering her 'aaji' and called her 'greatest of all time'. In the first throwback photo, Shraddha is seen sharing the frame with her 'aaji'. The other two pictures are childhood photos of the legendary singer.
Sharing the photos, Shraddha wrote in the caption, "I will forever cherish the honour of having shared precious moments with you. Your hand on my head, your warm gaze, your loving words of encouragement. Thank you for your simplicity, divinity, excellence and grace. Truly The Greatest of all time! The singer passed away on Sunday. Dr Patit Samdani, who was treating her at the hospital, released a statement that read, "It is with profound grief that we announce the sad demise of #LataMangeshkar at 8:12 am. She has died because of multi-organ failure after more than 28 days of hospitalisation post #COVID19."
The doctor later shared the singer's final moments. ANI quoted him as saying, "Whenever Lata ji's health deteriorated, I would have treated her, but this time her condition was deteriorating day by day. Though we continued our efforts eventually we could not save her.. I will remember her smile for the rest of my life. Even in her final moments, she had a smile on her face. Since the past few years, her health was not good and hence she was not able to meet much with anyone."
The legendary singer's funeral took place at Mumbai's Shivaji Park. It was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor among others.
