Sidharth Malhotra And Kiara Advani’s Shershaah To Release This Independence Day Weekend On OTT Platform; Actor Feels Proud To Play Real Life Character
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s upcoming film Shershaah will release on August 12 on Amazon Prime Video.
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s upcoming war drama Shershaah is touted to be one of the most awaited films releasing this year. Helmed by Vishnu Varadhan and jointly produced by Dharma Productions and Kaash Entertainment, the actioner is based on the life of Kargil war hero, Captain Vikram Batra. While the posters and teaser of the film have already left everyone excited, the makers have now announced its release date. Sheshaah will release on Independence Day on Amazon Prime Video.
Sidharth took to Instagram to share the release date of his film and shared its intriguing teaser. In the caption, the actor mentioned that he feels proud to play a real-life character. Sharing the video, the Marjaavaan actor wrote, “Shershaah | Out on August 12th Heroes live on through their stories. We are honoured to bring to you the true story of the Kargil War hero, Captain Vikram Batra (PVC).A film which has had a long journey for me and a real life character I am proud to play. #ShershaahOnPrime comes out on 12th August only on @primevideoin.”

The film also features Shiv Panditt, Raj Arjun, Pranay Pachauri, Himmanshu Ashok Malhotra, Nikitin Dheer, Ankita Goraya, Anil Charanjeett, Sahil Vaid, Shataf Figar and Pawan Chopra in pivotal roles. As a lead up to the Independence Day Weekend, Shershaah will stream on Amazon Prime Video in India and across 240 countries and territories starting August 12th, 2021.
